Westin Grand Frankfurt is in a prime downtown location with a huge shopping mal and so many stores around - fantastic area for shopping. Several Marriott properties including Westin, JW Marriott and Residence Inn, are all here in the same area. This Westin is within one block to the S and U underground station and many shops/restaurants around. Nice hotel with modern decor, guestrooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. Bathroom is a bit on the cramp side but manageble. Staff is professional and efficient, with a couple staff more friendly than others. Executive Club is located on the 1st floor (actually 2nd floor since 1st floor in Germany is called ground or E floor) and a grea place to chill and relax though it was constantly full and not easy to get a free table during peak hours. Despite all these, my biggest and only issue with this hotel has to be the in-room wifi service, which is unimaginally HORRIBLE: the signal was either painfully slow or non-existent three out of the four days when I was there. With a full meeting schedule and the need to check emails regularly, the poor internet service in the guestroom gave me nothing but headache and I had to constantly stay in the lobby area to access public internet, which is absolutely not acceptable for hotel in this caliber. Overall, I would say this is a great hotel and I can see why it is popular among business people. However, as a hotel catering to business clientes, hotel really needs to provide better technical infrastruture and improves their internet service. For this reason, would only give it a 4-star rating. I would love to come back to this hotel but only hope the internet service will significantly be better next time.

Was super excited to stay again at the Westin Grand after they did a remodel from the last couple times we had stayed at this property. I applied suite nights to my reservation and they did not go thorough. I checked the reservation 1 day prior and was pleasantly surprised that they upgraded our room to the Loft suite. Being a lifetime Titanium member was so excited that they value my status and gave an upgrade. Fast forward to check in... The front desk women checked us in and gave us a standard king room. My wife questioned it and said you gave us an upgrade and now you are taking it away? She said yes they had sold the suite. The front desk women was so rude and clearly didn't care. The manager came out right when this was happening and we explained what happened. She only offered us a larger king room but said it was a noisy room. We declined the noisy room since it was not really a better room category. They did nothing to offer anything better for our stay. The front desk women never thanked me for my loyalty and never explained amenties or welcomed us to the hotel. She had very lousy customer service skills. The club lounge breakfast was terrible. The bread was dry and they had very limited selection. I will definitely be looking into staying somewhere else on my next trip to Frankfurt. This hotel does not value loyalty and was very unprofessional about taking away an upgrade that was given to me prior to check in. The excuse that the suite was sold was a lie. I immediately went to the app and would be able to book the suite. So if it was sold why was it still available to book along with other suite for the dates of my stay.

Friendly check-in in the modern and welcoming lobby area. I stayed in a Westin Club room, which had clearly been refurbished recently and was an excellent base for five days. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed, in particular, stood out as incredibly comfortable. Good service from housekeeping daily. The Executive Lounge here is a real asset and staffed by a very attentive team. A variety of hot and cold drinks is available throughout the day, breakfast is a modest but high-quality offering, and the evening ‘canapés’ are more than enough for dinner. The gym is of a very high standard, as is the pool and sauna.

This is the perfect grand hotel in a grand city. It is conveniently located just a few steps away from the main shopping street (Zeil) and within a walking fistance to the bank quarter, the Römer and the river. The hotel underwent a major renovation recently. Now they have a modern lobby, a really nice executive lounge and bright and beautifully set up rooms. The SPA area is wonderful and there is a nice small gym. I personally liked the minimalistic green living forests which they prepared in small glass containers to be found everywhere in the hotel - in your room, in the lobby, in the SPA. I enjoyed my three nights stay very very much.

My wife and I enjoyed our last visit to The West Grand Frankfurt. However, my experience last month felt like I was in a different hotel. Although I sincerely appreciated the upgrade, their staff struggled and even refused to respond to basic requests, such as additional bottles of water, or a 1oz bottle of body lotion.Knocking on my door, asking what was needed (I asked for a clean sheet) and then never delivering it was simply unacceptable. Screaming children splashing me in spa was certainly NOT my idea of "wellness." Nor was waiting in the hallway in my bathrobe as staff tried, unsuccessfully, to unlock the door to my room. I've reached out several times, including to their management, but have yet to receive any kind of response.
